Reminder of Camp's role in youth development

I read this in last Sunday's Boston Globe Magazine and wanted to share it with you:

http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/magazine/articles/2010/09/12/the_unused_playground/

It's a great reminder about why families choose to send their campers to overnight camp...enjoy!

Dock Pictures, Continued from Facebook Album

If we are at the Waterfront, Binky is driving the tractor, Eddie is fishing and Dexy is supervising by lying on the beach...then it must be time to take the docks out.

Signaling the end of a truly amazing Summer, it took about three and a half hours yesterday to completely disassemble the docks, swim them to shore, and store them for the Winter.

These pictures are a continuation from the Album just posted on our Facebook Page - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=206458&id=214135284016&ref=mf

Eddie: "Docks are gone, but fish are not!"

The docks will be back in time for Family Camp, Memorial Day Weekend 2011!

Welcome! You're right on time...

If you found this blog, it means you found us via www.campwk.com, and then clicked on the orange "blog" icon in the lower right-hand corner.

We are glad that you found us...and the first 10 W*K campers, staff, or alumni who post comments here  with suggestions for what we should blog about, or how to improve our website, will receive a gift from the W*K Winter Bunk Trunk.

Unlike Summer Bunk Trunks, the Winter BT contains non-edible W*K items...

So, post away, and share with your friends!

Summer is coming, look out!
